• HWH – Project Manager

    Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the construction project including planning, directing and coordinating activities of designated project to ensure that goals or objectives of the project and the company are accomplished timely, safely and within budgetary parameters.  Negotiates and prepares scope revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors.

  • HWH – CADD Drafter III

    Responsible for performing both routine and non-routine complex drafting assignments that require judgment in resolving issues or making recommendations. Uses applications to scale and edit assignments involving the use of computer aided design and drafting equipment and other graphics software (e.g. CADD software) to achieve set results and deadlines. Digitize or trace sketches or concepts from designers using CADD software, such as AutoCAD or MicroStation. Makes decisions with general understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Follows specific, standardized procedures to achieve set results and deadlines. Receives little instruction on daily work and general instructions on new assignments.

     

    Requirements:  Drafter competent in AutoCAD 3D and MicroStation with 5+ years of practical experience in drafting.

     

    Experience with horizontal civil projects (i.e. utilities, earthwork, grading, site development, roadways etc) is preferred.

  • HWH – CADD Drafter Level 1

    Develops designs for complete and complex engineering systems, structures, and plant arrangements.

     

    •  Reviews design models, drawings and design documents for safety, quality, accuracy, neatness, functionality and satisfactory completion.

     

    •  Ensures that all drawings and designs are in accordance with company production and design standards.

    Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with clients, customers, contractors and others.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers and the general public.

  • HWH – Architect

    The Architect is responsible for developing technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.  Work is performed with minimal direction.   Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment.  Oversees the work of less experienced architects and designers.  Prepares designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and working drawings, and develops details and edits specifications.   Adapts and modifies design features and operational methods to meet a variety of situations.  Meets with clients and works closely with construction and industrial groups.

     

    Requirements:  Degree in architecture or similar field and a registered architect. 7 + years of experience in architecture and experience working with other designers and managing subordinate architects and designers as well as being able to work with multiple members of a team including field and office personnel.

  • HWH – Senior Project Structural Engineer

    HWH Senior Project Structural Engineer:

     

    Independently performs structural engineering design calculations, detailing, and plan set production for reinforced concrete, structural steel, wood, masonry structures, foundations, retaining walls and special structures.

     

    ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    • Responsible for project management and directing an engineering team to produce quality designs and plans for complex engineering projects.

     

    • Directs junior PEs, EITs, and CAD Drafters to produce quality engineering calculations and construction documents.

     

    • Reviews construction sites to monitor progress and compliance with the contract documents.

     

    • Interacts with the Estimating and Construction teams throughout design and construction to ensure project documents are delivered on schedule and within the budget

     

    • Actively seeks innovation in work processes and synergies between disciplines to enhance efficiencies of structural design and construction.

     

    • Develops project budgets, construction cost estimates and schedules.

     

    • Leads professional development sessions for junior staff

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

     

    Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and a minimum of 10 years experience in design of steel, reinforced concrete, wood, and masonry structures for commercial, industrial, institutional, and/or health care projects.  Master’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering preferred.

     

    Computer Skills: Must posess a working knowledge of AutoCAD 2014, Revit, RAM Structural System, and STAADPro.

     

    Certificates/Licenses/Registrations Required: Valid Driver License, Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.  Registration in Texas is preferred.

  • HWH – Project Engineer

    • Assists in implementing project work plans and revises as appropriate with Project Manager to meet changing needs and requirements of project which includes: project schedule coordination of trades, management of submittals, scope review and handing of sub-contractors.

     

    • Reviews and understands contract plans, specification, and documenting procedures as well as the ability to recognize and solve potential conflicts within design build plans, organize an perform buy-out and day-to-day schedule reviews.

     

    • Assists Project Manager in communication with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professional to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems.

     

    • Assists Project Manager in Preparation of  monthly  cash-flow forecasts, prepares cost, construction, labor and material costs, advises on procurement strategy, assist in preparation of  contract documents, understands the implication of health and safety regulations, assists in preparation of budget and cost estimates, analyzes budget vs. actual cost and provides cost saving measures with Project Manager.

     

    • Assists project Team in implementation of Quality Assurance and Quality Control Management.

     

    • Develops pre-construction agendas and conducts meetings.

     

    • Assists in scheduling and conducting onsite project meetings.

     

    • Reviews pay applications with Project Manager, manages the closeout process, and ensures fair treatment of subcontractors.

     

    •  Assists Project Manager in scheduling projects to logical steps and budgets time required to meet deadlines through means of scheduling program (P6 or Suretrak).

     

    • Assists Project Manager in determination of upcoming project labor requirements and assist in dispatch of required workers to construction sites for specific tasks.

     

    • Inspects and reviews projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations.

    • Assists in preparation of scope revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors.

     

    Qualifications:

     

    Education and Experience Requirements:  B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering, Business or related field required and a minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience.

     

    • Able to work with multiple members of a Team including field and office personnel.

     

    • Show a history of positive leadership, organizational skills and an ability to communicate accurately and effectively to multiple members of a team.

     

    • Well organized, highly motivated, has excellent communication skills, has leadership skills that also display integrity, and has the ability to motivate team members.

     

     

    • Computer Skills: Ability to utilize software solutions for data and analysis in addition to a proficiency in Microsoft Office

     

    • Experience with a construction management software and scheduling software preferred.

    • Demonstrates understanding of  layout & runs for welded & threaded pipe, pipe fittings & valves and  selects appropriate materials and equipment for specifications.

     

    • Reads drawing and P&ID’s.

     

    • Performs piping material take offs on drawings.

     

    • Reads and understands project specifications, system operations and blueprints.

     

    • Responsible for furnishing all squares, tapes, hand tools, etc. to perform the referenced job description.

     

    • Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems, supports and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for all types of processing systems.

    Welds metal components together with brazing and variety of arc and gas welding to fabricate or repair products such as machine parts, plant equipment, carbon steel pipe, and stainless steel pipe.

  • Rodgers Wade – Lead Estimator

    Responsible for managing day to day activities of the estimating department.

     

    • Assigns personnel to bid projects as required.

     

    • Leads and participates in bid reviews.

    The ideal candidate will have proven and diversified estimating experience in the commercial woodworking industry utilizing a variety of materials and expanded familiarity with fabrication processes, installation methods, procurement procedures and MS office programs.  Must be able to analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for products, projects, or services for architectural millwork and fixtures related to retail, hospitality and institutional casework industries.

     

    High school diploma or GED required and 7 or more years of experience estimating in the architectural millwork industry and understanding of AWI standards perferred.

  • Rodgers Wade – Engineer

    Responsible for engineering activities surrounding assigned architectural millwork and fixture products and projects.  This position requires the ability to complete engineering drawings, establish material requirements, program mill equipment such as CNC routers and saws, and develop detailed shop drawings, cut lists and instructions.

     

    High school diploma or GED required and three or more years of experience in the architectural millwork industry preferred. Must have experience in Autocad and/or Microvellum software as well as a proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
